Sony Alpha, “I’m not quite dead yet.”

I just came across a gallery of images is Sony’s upcoming Alpha series cameras at Engadget.

When Sony acquired Minolta they promised to do great things with the Minolta brand and immediately released a series of re-branded Zeiss lenses and an updated version of the Minolta 5D with the Sony name on it. After that… nothing. […]

Less Covered Bits on The 1D Mk III

Once again, the net is abuzz with the announcement of Canon’s latest super-camera. Despite that, here are some things I found interesting about the 1D Mk III that haven’t been covered much.

Canon 1D Mk III and Raw Data

A somewhat geeky look at the 1D Mk III and it’s data transfer rate and buffer.

After fiddling with it shortly I couldn’t help myself and placed an order for one and […]

For the uninitiated, 1.6TB means 1.6 Terabytes of storage. A single […]

This very impressively designed laptop is not theory. The project was announced this last January and they already have prototypes made!

More details at Ars and MIT.
