Slew of Adobe Software Updates

Adobe has released several updates for Photoshop, Lightroom and Bridge. These updates are primarily bug fix updates though there are some new features in the Lightroom update.

Lightroom has been updated to work properly on OS X 10.5 Leopard, includes some UI changes and the start of the long waited SDKs for third-party additions. The first SDK is the export SDK which will allow for things such as direct FTP exporting or exporting to flikr (the two examples included in the downloadable SDK). Following the export SDK in future updates will be a workflow SDK (for integrating third-party software more easily) and then a develop SDK.

The last big feature of Lightroom 1.3 is the addition of a simpler means of creating custom web galleries. This means no more having to learn overly-complicated XSLT for a rudimentary gallery. The new markup uses a combination of CSS and Luapages Gallery. It sounds like it will still require a slight learning curve, but not nearly as insanely steep as XSLT.

The last update is for Adobe Camera Raw. Now at 4.3, ACR includes support for a variety of new cameras as well as more refined noise reduction and sharpening.
